Google has announced the rebranding of its office apps suite known as G Suite. The set of productivity apps will now be called Google Workspace.
Today’s announcement comes after the introduction of new features over the past few months, in response to the quick adoption of remote working. Currently, more than 6 million businesses are using Google apps to enable collaboration and enhance productivity outside of the classic office space.
As well as a new name, Google is also introducing new logos for all the productivity apps which end users will see reflected across Google products and properties over the course of the next few weeks.
Organizations that are new to Google Workspace will have to choose from three new plans: Business Starter, Standard, and Plus. G Suite for Education and Nonprofit will continue to be available to eligible organizations.
